Dr. Howorth and I have been working together for three years now and I have learned a lot from his expertise in the business. I am passionate about education and am always ready to continue learning about the dental field. I truly enjoy teaching and learning about dentistry. Recently I took our team to San Antonio for the Texas Dental Association annual conference for a really successful and exciting trip! We reviewed cutting edge dentistry and learned new ways to maintain a healthy mouth, body and mind. Everything we learned enables us to take better care of you.
Dr Howorth and I took a detailed class regarding cracked teeth and learned that a lot of what we are doing in our practice is right on track with what the experts say. We learned different techniques for “restorative investigation” of the tooth, a way to gather more detailed information which will help us determine individualized treatment. Because Dr. Howorth and I have been placing implants since last year, my dental assistants’ took an in-depth class on implants. They are extremely excited about what they learned and are eager to begin assisting again with this procedure. Our hygiene team learned about the best dental products on the market to help you sort through all the advertising you see on TV and in magazines. Ask them next time you are in which is best for you! We took classes regarding taking care of our bodies, including stretching techniques and healthy eating to keep us well. If you see us stretching in the hallway in between patients, you’ll know why! Our team is committed to staying healthy to care for you better! Although we focus on teeth, we want to help you maintain your total health and we look forward to sharing what we learned with you. The reason we are here is for you and we want to be the best we can!

We would like to introduce you to our lab! Debbie and Jimmy are a vital part of what makes your appointments run smoothly when lab work is involved. Having our dental lab next door is a unique privilege. If you are in need of a crown, Debbie can be at your “prep” appointment to take a color shade on the tooth to facilitate the natural look of the crown. The doctors are also able to confer with them while the case is in progress to ensure accuracy. At the “seat” appointment for your new crown, any adjustments or repairs that may be needed can be done in the same visit without having to reschedule.

Upon entering our practice, you will notice that Chari and Diane continue to greet and assist you with all your dental needs. These amazing front desk ladies are a staple to our practice, and patients and staff depend on their gracious expertise. Although each has her specialty, their competence and skill means they do a lot of job sharing as well, and they frequently fill in for each-other. Both can assist you with appointment scheduling, printing insurance claim forms, answering questions regarding diagnosed treatment, and much more! You may also see my wife, Kim, at the front helping out when Chari and Diane are busy. She is my office manager and does a lot of the “behind the scenes” work for us, but enjoys the occasional opportunity to fill in at the front and spend time with our patients. I hope you get the chance to meet her on your next visit.
Myrna and Christy continue to keep our doctors on track with assisting in the treatment area. This incredible duo of girls not only takes care of you when the doctor is in/out of the room; they also schedule future appointments, take payment, print walk-out or insurance forms, and fulfill a myriad of other duties around the office. We all benefit from their high skill level, as well as their efficiency.
Our dynamic hygiene department includes 4 hygienists; Kim, Amy C., Amber, Amy R. and a hygiene assist, Shelby. Our highly skilled hygienists are excellent with their hands and take great care of our patients. Their knowledge and eye for detail helps Dr. Howorth and I identify everything that is going on in your mouth. They are an exceptional group of hygienists that I am proud to have on our team. Keeping things flowing and everyone sane is our wonderful hygiene assistant Shelby. Shelby not only support’s our hygienists, she schedules future hygiene appointments, accepts payment, schedules treatment with the doctor, and maintains our sterilization lab to ensure sterile instruments are ready for each patient. Shelby is a highly qualified individual who is exceptional with our patients.
I am extremely proud of the staff that I currently have on board, and am fortunate to have a team that cares as much about you, dentistry, and our practice as I do. Our team strives to know you personally and professionally, and our desire is to make you feel at home in our practice.

Danielle, dental assistant extraordinaire, has worked in all capacities at our office. Although we knew the day would come, we are reluctant to see her go! Danielle has nearly completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work and after a study abroad program in Prague this summer; she will graduate and fulfill her passion of becoming a social worker this fall. We are so proud of her and blessed to have had to the chance to work with her. Good Luck Danielle, we love you!
Our annual vacation is right around the corner! Our office will be closed from June 22nd until July 9th! We will reopen July 10th at 8am.
